Enlistment in the United States Coast Guard

The United States Coast Guard is looking for young men and women for enlistment. The following are some of the basic qualifications to join the United States Coast Guard. Each applicant must:

  1. Be a United States citizen or national,

  2. Be between the ages of 17 - 27, (if you are 17, you will need parental consent)

  3. Have a high school diploma,

  4. Have no more than 2 dependents. (You may have 3 dependents if you are enlisting as an E-4 or above).
