"THE WEST IS THE BEST"

I am sure all of you heard this slogan before. We are not saying that just because it rimes. The West is made up of 5 Divisions, 35 Flotillas, and some 2000 members. Members dedicated and determent to make the West the success that it is. As we embark on another new year, we are faced with new changes, new expectations, and new challenges. I challenge each member to do your very best, so our success story may be even grater.

As of January 2005, Seventh District lost 1527 members. This is due to security checks; members retired, transferred, and deceased. Please make an extra effort in the area of recruiting new quality members.

As we continue with our duties and responsibilities, we must also seek opportunities for self-improvement. Self-improvement means training. Training is an ongoing process that must never stops.

We are all members of the Coast Guard Family. Members of a great team. I challenge You to be the best You can be.
