NATIONAL SAFE BOATING CAMPAIGN
Don’t forget to go to the National Safe Boating Campaign web-site for information and free resources. From their website:
Once again all of your campaign materials including ordering your free resources will be available only from the web site, www.safeboatingcampaign.com. Look under Campaign Resources to order your informational materials, view press releases and proclamations and to download PSAs and graphics. Items such as activity sheets and information for kids and types of life jackets can be found under Educational Resources. For FAQ and links to our campaign partners, check out About the Campaign. To let people in your area know about events you are holding or to view other events in your area, go to Campaign Events. There you can also find Power Point presentations about the campaign for you to use as well as campaign certificates and photos. Also check out our new Message Board where you can exchange ideas and information with other campaign planners.
WEEKEND NAVIGATOR BOOKS
As everyone should know by now, the ACN-BCN Course series (10080) is no longer available. The replacement course is to be the Weekend Navigator; however, that course is not yet complete or available. The Education Department is working to complete the course. You will be notified as information is received on the new course and its availability.
UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION CENTER UPDATES:
ODU News - The current ODU remains a functional uniform for the foreseeable future - at least two or more years. The new, un-tucked ODU will not be available until late FY-08 at the earliest, and then it will be an optional-wear item.
To pave the way for the un-tucked version of the ODU, the Uniform Distribution Center (UDC) is offering certain sizes of the current ODU at two for the price of one. Inventory levels of the aforementioned sizes must be liquidated to make it possible to stock the un-tucked ODU once development and manufacturing are complete.
Use the following link http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-w/g-wp/udc/ODUUniforms.html
NOTE: When you place an order for one of the sale sizes of ODU’s, you will see one on your invoice copy at the regular price, but will automatically be shipped two of that particular size. The non-invoiced ODU will have an identifying mark on the size tag to prevent erroneous returns. Remember, only some sizes are available. Return policies remain the same for this sale. If you need to return/exchange a purchase made under this sale, BOTH of the same size items must be returned. For more detailed information or to order, go to the UDC website.
