Welcome to Department of Response

The Department of Response consists of four District Staff Positions.
Aviation: DSO-AV, Operations: DSO-OP/QE, Communications: DSO-CM, Aids to Navigations: DSO-AN.

As the name of our Department shows, we respond by providing assistance to the Coast Guard. It may be Search and Rescue, overdue vessel, weather related emergencies such as Hurricane, or Tornado, Coast Guard or public event, or simply provide Auxiliary Facilities on a stand-by status. We will do much, but we will never be involved in direct law enforcement.

The Aids to Navigation is an ongoing program dedicated to keeping watchful eye on all aids, in all areas in order to keep boaters save.
